September

Age: 26 months
Milestones:
- Can now turn door knobs and open doors by himself.
- He can now go into the bathroom, take off his diaper and pants and go potty by himself. If
you try to go with him he will push you out of the bathroom and say "I need my privacy!".

August

Age: 25 months
Milestones:
- Parker can go potty in the potty chair inconsistently (usually about 2-4 times a day).
- Parker can tell his first joke (which he picked up on his own somehow): "Knock, knock. Who's
there? Cargo (He leaves out "Cargo who?"). A car goes beep beep!"

July

Age: 24 months
Milestones:
- Parker now earns an allowance by helping dad take out the trash and picking up his toys.
- Tried peanut butter for the first time (7/18/09)!
- Parker holds his markers between his thumb and index finger to draw (instead of using his whole fist).

June

Age: 23 months
Milestones:
- Parker was a ring bearer in his cousin Heather's wedding (and he did a great job!).
- Can really say entire sentences very well now.
- Gives kisses and hugs to us out of the blue (is very affectionate toward us and his baby doll which he will hug).
- Morgan and Parker are really starting to play together more.
- New words this month: "Go get Taco Bueno for us." (He will pretend he's bringing food from Taco Bueno restaurant
for us to eat.)

May

Age: 22 months
Milestones:
- Can count to 15 by himself.
- Parker knows between 10-15 songs he can sing on his own (The Backyardigans, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Hello Song, Goodbye Song,
The Funny Fat Frog, Tick Tock Song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and many more!).
- Parker is starting to get into books more and more. He will now bring books for us to read to him.
- New words this month: There are really too many new words to mention them all! He will at least attempt to say any
word that we might say (even if it's a big/hard word to say).

April

Age: 21 months
Milestones:
- Can count to 13 by himself.
- Parker said "my crackers" today. He's said "mine" before but never "my _____". (4/6/09)
- Can unzip zippers.
- Can open deadbolt locks and doors.
- Likes to point out all of the trash cans we see when we're out and about!
- New words this month: Pets (for The Wonder Pets), "hurt self", "Daddy home soon.", "Bless you.", "Clean up mess.",
trampine (for trampoline), peanut, "Oopsy-daisy", amazing

March

Age: 20 months
Milestones:
- Can count to 5.
- Can put together a simple puzzle.
- Parker is starting to string 2-3 words together ("There you go", "Up here" - When he wants to get up on your lap., "Close the door").
- New words this month: bobbi (for broccoli), sticky, high chair, outside, super ball (for his super bouncy ball).

February

Age: 19 months
Milestones:
- Began giving big hugs!
- Can snap buckles together.
- Can walk backwards.
- Can blow a kiss.
- Started "talking" on the phone (before he would just listen and not say anything)
- Parker enjoys turning light switches on and off.
- Can partially sing at least 6 different songs ("ABC's" - 2 different versions, "Hello" and "Tick Tock" songs we
sing at Stay And Play class, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", etc.).
- Can say "yes" or "no" in response to questions.
- New words this month: hug, "Hi guys!", door, drink, Parker, bottle, potty

January

Age: 18 months
Weight: 21 lbs 5.5 oz
Length: 32 in
Milestones:
- Parker got his fifteenth tooth (Lower Right Cuspid - 01-23-09).
- Parker got his sixteenth tooth (Lower Left Cuspid - 01-24-09).
- Morgan and Parker are starging to play together more and more.
- Can do somersaults by himself (we never even showed him how to do it!).
- Parker went potty on the potty chair for the first time (he did it twice in one day!)! (1-19-09)
- We converted Parker's crib into a day bed. He fell out of it once on the first night. (1-30-09)
- Parker can point out all of his body parts (nose, eyes, mouth, ears, hair, belly, toes, hands, etc.)
- This is the month when Parker began to pretty much repeat any word that we say (so he can say just about anything!).
- New words this month: blankey, "Oh boy!", Ming-Ming and Tuck (from wonderpets! TV Show), treat, shake, sister,
Morgan, taco, Manny (from Handy Manny TV Show), Mickey Mouse, "I love you", "Hold on tight", donut, earring,
peaches, more, school bus, open, there, and MANY more!!
